At 6.5 months old and his very first CKC show he earned a Best Puppy in Group! Then a week later at his first AKC shows he earned not one but TWO 4 point major wins (going Best of Winners two days in a row).

Rayne
July 19, 1996 - September 20, 2011
Rayne was my first in so many things, my first Weimaraner, my first Competitive agility dog, my first obedience dog, my first CKC registered dog. I learned so much from Rayne, the fun of agility, oh and exactly how stubborn a Weimaraner could be, to travel with a dog and be part of a team competing, no matter what the outcome, I learned how much a dog could hate the command down and I learned patience. Oh Rayne taught me patience.
She will always be in my heart and although there will be others there will never be another Rayne.
Seeing that ad in the paper and deciding to go out and meet Rayne (she was called Bess at the time) was one of the best things I ever decided to do. To accept the challenge of a very smart girl who so many people had given up on and watch her learn to trust me and finally know she was in her forever home is something I will always treasure. Mostly I learned how much fun it could be to do dog sports, to work as a team (well most of the time) , to have great runs, and some not so great runs.
Rayne made me totally fall in love with an amazing breed and I can't imagine my life without a Weim or two.and I can't imagine my life without Rayne. Sadly I now have to face that reality. Rayne was one of the kindest sweetest dogs I have ever had the privilege to have in my life, she could be tough and stubborn oh so stubborn but then sweet and snuggly.. I wouldn't change a thing about her..she was perfect and I learned so much from her. I will always remember our first off leash run when I got her and the joy in her face of just running with Bo and enjoying life..
She will always be in my heart and although there will be others there will never be another Rayne.
~Julia
--------
I am thankful that Julia and Rayne found each other so many years ago, because I think their love and camaraderie is what has fed Julia's 'addiction' for Weimaraners and for that I along with Koping Weimaraners is thankful. Rayne will be missed by all who's lives she touched. PK

Koping Party Locator TD - "Garmin"
"Koping Weims dominated the "field" for successful passes at the German Shepherd Dog Club of Edmonton tracking test this past weekend. In Garmin's first tracking test ever, he ran track #8 and was all business, pulling me to the small leather piece end article without any hesitation at all. Very VERY proud of him and his love of tracking! It was so special to be able to share the successes that day with his sister P!nk and cousin JC!! Congrats to them and their great handler PK!! KRAMER" - CH Koping's Tale of Exaggerations August 22, 1999 - September 6, 2011
On Tuesday evening, Kramer crossed over the Rainbow bridge, where he will join fellow Koping Weimaraner that have crossed before him - Catcher, Jacob and Mackenzie. A huge void has been left in the Cross family's household. Kramer was a buddy, friend, confidant, companion, walking partner and unconditionally loving family member to Don, Joan, Catherine and Glenna. It seems just like the other day this family was visiting my first Koping litter of puppies and anxiously awaiting the day they could take their beloved new family member, 'green collar' boy, home. Kramer will not only be missed by the Cross family and Koping Weimaraner family but also the local weim community since he was an integral member of the seasonal 'Calgary Weim walks'. I will cherish the last Koping group walk that Kramer joined us on this past spring. His happy wiggle bum greeted all the greys as well as his 'grandma-Pat'. Rest in Peace dear Kramer. Xoxo
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
