Miss Madison is my first weim. She will be 10 years young next month. My sister and I co-owned Maddie until she was 1.5 years old and then I lost her in the custody agreement (albeit I was moving to Calgary where the abundance of Koping Weims was great). BUT Maddie, she was my first weim....very special place in my heart. She lives with my sister's family and we see her a lot. She spent the weekend at my house recently and so couldn't resist a photo shoot. I told her that she will get her own birthday shoot at the beach for her 10th birthday, with ice cream as well. .... AAC Regional Update
Regionals Update: Our Koping Weim “COLT” qualified for Nationals at the Alberta Regionals held at Sherwood Park in June. The Baby Weim worked through it all . . . heat and tough, tough courses (beeg stuff for us). Our 22” vet division was small, but our competition was mighty. Colt took a 1st in Jumpers on Saturday and a 1st in Standard on day two – our last run of regionals . It was hotter on Sunday, with no breeze, and that course was technical -- sharp turns and hard call offs (stuff that had shut us down to a trot in the past). To keep the pace on day two AND finish strong? Another huge milestone for us – Whoo HOO!
Alas, Team Roadie didn’t make the cut, BUT they’ve already embarked on their new training regime. Our Big Boy Weim has the heart and ability that makes judges and competitors smile – yeah, that’s what it’s all about . . . a good time. Dave just has to harness all that enthusiasm . . . easy peasy.

Busy Weekend Visting and a Dog Show
Wow what an exciting past few days...... On July 1st Julia & Pat got a great visit in with Sydney and the puppies (as well as Christy & Aidie). The pups were extremely active for being just 10 days old and they looked in fantastic chubby weight. As well Sydney looked awesome and was extremely sweet and excited about visitors coming to the house to visit with her and the pups. Actually think she was excited that 'grandma-Pat' had other Koping family in the van and hoped that she was going to get to go for a big run with all of us ;-)
